Each year the Capitola Junior Lifeguards Parents Club awards college tuition scholarships to a select number of outstanding applicants. Candidates go through a rigorous qualification, application and recommendation process including participation in and demonstration of exemplary competence in the Capitola Jr. Lifeguard program, school academics, sports and involvement in community organizations accompanied with detail essays, substantiating references and attitude all taken into consideration.

To date the Capitola Junior Guards Parents Club has raised and awarded over $400,000 in combined college tuition scholarships.
