WHO WE ARE

The Capitola Junior Lifeguard Parents Club is a 501 c3 non-profit organization founded in 1982.

Our mission is to assist the City of Capitola to preserve, complement and enhance the Capitola Junior Lifeguard Program to make it one of the best programs in the state.

WHAT WE DO

We design, order, manage and sell the JG sweats, hats, water bottles, shirts and other merchandise.

We raise funds for program scholarships to help more families participate in the program each summer.

We raise funds for college scholarships (granting over $190,000 so far) to support junior guards and instructors in higher education.

We engage businesses in the community for sponsorship support.

We staff and support the Junior Guard events.

We also volunteer together to support community events like the Surfer’s Path Marathon and the Jay Race.

JOIN US

To ensure the Parent Club is able to continue to support the kids, the community and the Capitola Junior Lifeguard Program, we are looking for new parents to join the group and carry this effort for the next generation of junior guards.

We are looking for parents of Little Guards, C's and B's to work with us this season, learn the ropes and take over through the transition to the following summer season.

We are looking for people to help with events, social media and web, Regionals competition, engaging sponsors, and more.

Want to learn more, meet other JG parents and City/Program leads, or see how you can get involved, join us at any meeting, second Monday every month, 7 pm at Capitola Jade Street Rec Center building.
